There are some reasons Patreon declined your card such as :
1. Credit card declines.
Reach out to your bank for information and assistance. Your bank may have restrictions that exclude subscription transactions. A quick call with them can clear things up.
2. PayPal declines.
If your PayPal transaction isn’t going through, contact PayPal’s support team for more information.

Here are common reasons that payments will fail or decline:
1. Expired credit card information. Reach out to your bank to get a new credit card.
2. Incorrect payment details. Fix payment details such 16 digit card number, cvv number, expired card, name, address and zip code.
3. The issuing bank has blocked the transaction. Make sure there are no outstanding bills. 
4. Patreon’s authorization has been revoked (most often with PayPal). Contact PayPal’s support team to solve it.
5. Insufficient funds. Make sure your card balance or limit is enough to pay for Patreon.

Is Patreon worth?

It is almost never “worth it” to become a patron just to get patron-only posts. But that is not the point of Patreon. You are not “buying” content – you are supporting the work of a content creator. If you don’t want to support a creator, then you don’t become a Patron.

How do I withdraw money from Patreon?

1. Log in and click the Income button from your creator menu.
2. Click on Payouts from the menu list.
3. Click the Withdraw balance button. If this button is grayed out and your current account balance is $0, please check your Relationship Manager to review patrons’ membership history – depending on your chosen billing method, patrons may not have been charged yet.

Can you cancel Patreon one month?

Yes you can but they recommend canceling on the last day of a month to ensure you do not renew and pay on the first. You can cancel your upfront membership at any time. Your cancelation stops the auto-renewal of your membership, meaning you won’t see future charges.

Is Patreon safe with debit card?

No. As per RBI guidelines, each debit card transaction should be authenticated by OTP. Patreon takes one time authentication and makes recurring payment without OTP which is neither safe nor allowed as per regulator. Better to use a credit card with lesser credit limit.

Does Patreon accept Visa gift cards?

No Patreon doesn’t accept Visa gift cards. They accept payments via PayPal and the following cards: Visa, Master Card, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, and 3DS.

Do you accept prepaid cards or does patreon accept prepaid cards?

They do not currently accept prepaid card, or “gift” cards for membership.

Does Patreon get taxed?

Does Patreon withhold any taxes from my payments? No – Patreon doesn’t withhold anything (aside from our fees) from your funds earned on Patreon. We are obligated to add, collect, and remit sales tax and VAT on top of some pledge, but those funds are not calculated anywhere as ‘earnings’.

Does Patreon accept Crypto?

They currently do not accept crypto.

Can you use Apple money for Patreon?

Patrons paying in US dollars can choose Apple Pay from an authorized device when they first join your page or if they edit their membership. With Apple Pay, the patron asks Apple Pay to process payment with the wallet funding source they select. We submit payment through Apple Pay and send it to your creator balance.

Does Patreon accept gift cards?

No currently Patreon does not accept gift cards.

Does Patreon accept virtual card?

Yes Patreon accept virtual card such as Getsby Mastercard Virtual Black Card and Getsby Mastercard Virtual Green Card.
